Disability Sports and Active Recreation Plan for Northern Ireland Public Consultation Events

As you may know, Sport Northern Ireland recently convened a number of stakeholders to develop a Disability Sport and Active Recreation Action Plan for Northern Ireland. NI Sports Forum are represented on this group

The Plan will translate the aspirations of people with disabilities and relevant stakeholders into a number of achievable, strategic actions that will help to improve the health and wellbeing of people with disabilities through increasing opportunities in sport, leisure and active recreation.

We have already collected views via our online survey and we now invite you to voice your opinions and ideas at one of the following public consultations:

 These events are open to everyone and we would like to get the views of people with a disability, organisations working with people with a disability, the sporting workforce and anyone who has a connection to, and would like to help shape the future of, disability sport and active recreation in Northern Ireland.  Please, therefore, if this is not directly relevant to you / your organisation we would greatly appreciate it if you could share this invitation with members, colleagues, individuals, etc whom you think would be interested in attending one of these consultation sessions.

While interpreters, etc will be available at the events above to ensure they are inclusive we are also offering a specific consultation session for people who are deaf or have a hearing loss.  This event will be on:

Deaf Session
