Disability Sport NI is the main disability sports charity in Northern Ireland working to improve the health and wellbeing of children and adults with disabilities through sport and active recreation.

Active Recreation Officer – Belfast Disability Sports Hub
Salary Scale:  NJC Point 22-28 (£20,661 – £24,964)
Fixed Term Contract to 31 March 2018 (Subject to funding, with the possibility of extension to March 2020)

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and delivery of a range of inclusive sport and active recreation programmes and events for people with disabilities at a new ‘Disability Sports Hub’ located at Girdwood Community Hub in North Belfast, as well as the delivery of a wider community outreach programme throughout the Belfast City Council area.

High Performance Sports Assistant

The client is a young female with dystonia who lives in Larne. The client is a member of the Boccia UK World Class Performance Programme, and was selected to compete in Rio 2016 Paralympic Games finishing 8th in the team event. She is looking to build and develop her professional workforce as she bids to ensure she is on the right path for Tokyo 2020. In order to achieve this goal, she is now looking to add a Sports Assistant to her team of Personal Assistants to enhance the delivery of her training, development and competition programme.

Undergraduate Placement Opportunity – Assistant Sports Development Officer
Salary Scale: National Minimum Wage
Fixed Term Contract: September 2017 – August 2018

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Community Sports Development Officer with the delivery of the community sport programme including events, training courses, activity sessions, awareness and education sessions.
Undergraduate Placement Opportunity – Assistant Communications & Engagement Officer
Salary Scale: National Minimum Wage
Fixed Term Contract: September 2017 – August 2018

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Communications and Engagement Officer with the organisation and delivery of a varied communications and engagement programme. The role will also involve supporting the communications and engagement function of Disability Sport NI’s community interest company, Live Active NI.

MULTI-MEDIA ASSISTANT
Salary Scale: National Minimum Wage
Fixed Term Contract of 8 Weeks (July – September 2017)
The successful applicant will work alongside the Communications and Engagement Officer to develop an agreed suite of videos and photographs that can be used for promotional purposes.
