FUNDING JOY OR WOE - NICVA WANT TO KNOW

NICVA's Grant Tracker team wants to hear your views on the four main funding bodies that deliver lottery funding in Northern Ireland. Early feedback suggests Arts Council needs to improve - do you agree and what about the others?

A short ten question survey asks you to rate the funders. Are they, for example, very good or very poor at sharing information? Are they very fair and transparent or quite the opposite?

NICVA want to hear views good and bad about each of the lottery distributors - Arts Council, Sport NI, Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund.

Your responses will remain confidential and will be of great help to inform NICVA's discussions with lottery funders on their policy and procedures.

All the surveys run until 30 September 2007.

Introduction

The Sports Forum is a voluntary association whose membership consists of 84 Governing Bodies of Sport, 34 Associate Members and 19 Individual Members with an interest in sport and physical recreation.
We are the recognised umbrella organisation for the voluntary sector of sport in Northern Ireland and act as the "Independent Voice of Voluntary Sport in Northern Ireland".
Almost every organised sport and recreation in Northern Ireland has its own governing or representative body - organisations like the GAA, NI Darts Association and the Ulster Federation of Rambling Clubs.
The Board, elected every two (2) years, meets regularly to consider matters of common interest and concern to the membership and to discharge the Forum's advocacy, communication, enabling and consultative roles on their behalf.
We are an Associate Organiser of the 'Belfast Telegraph Sports Awards' and a registered company with charitable status (company Reg. Number: NI10440).
