Triathlon Ireland seek Director of High Performance

Triathlon Ireland is seeking to recruit a Director of High Performance to lead the High Performance Team, Squad and Programme for the Tokyo Cycle and beyond.

This exciting position is a key role within the organisation and will help drive the sport of Triathlon onto another level in Ireland.

To unashamedly and vigorously pursue medal winning opportunities in International Elite Triathlon.Provide a world class infrastructure, development pathway and support programme that enables Ireland’s development and high performance Triathletes to maximise their ability to be achieve on the World Stage.

The Director of High Performance will be responsible to deliver on that aim and from the solid structures already in place, build a high performance support team and programme that is world leading.

Purpose of the Role.

1. To inspire, lead and support athletes and coaches across the sport of Triathlon in Ireland, the role is pivotal, quality assuring and creating a world class environment for coaches and athletes to develop.
2. Priority area is to strengthen the performance pathway between the junior programme and under 23 senior transition programmes, while also supporting the senior athletes with individual preparation to maximise Olympic and other major games qualification and medal opportunities.

ABOUT TRIATHLON IRELAND

Triathlon Ireland (TI) is the all island National Governing Body for Triathlon, Duathlon and Aquathlon, as recognised by the Irish Sports Council and Sport NI. TI is responsible of promoting, encouraging and advancing the sport of triathlon at all levels throughout Ireland. This is done through providing membership benefits such as insurance, sanctioning official events/races, encouraging and developing coaches and technical officials, and promoting the sport to all levels of ability – from the newcomer to our Olympians.
