The JobStart Scheme provides funding from the Department for Communities to allow employers to create new job opportunities to help those who are currently unemployed or economically inactive, in receipt of working age benefits and wish to enter or re-enter the workplace.
The new scheme will support over 1,200 working age benefit claimants into work.
JobStart will be open to all claimants, providing support for people across Northern Ireland to enter and thrive in the labour market.
Each participant will receive tailored help and bespoke training and development opportunities to enhance long-term employability.
This support, which includes collaboration with quality employers, will help JobStart create pathways to permanent employment.
