An introduction to Keeping Adults Safe: Training for Staff and Volunteers in the Sports Sector

This course is for sports organisations that have membership or organise activities in NI.

This is a FREE  3 hour virtual course for those working/volunteering with adults at risk.  It will cover:

  • Legal and policy context
  • Categories of abuse and possible indictors
  • Dealing with a disclosure of abuse
  • Reporting concerns
  • Code of behaviour

10.00-1.00 each day virtually on:

  • Tuesday 11th March.

The training will raise awareness of risk of harm in adulthood and assist sports organisations to achieve the minimum standards of best practice as outlined in the publication ‘Keeping Adults Safe – A Shared Responsibility’.

PLEASE NOTE: this training will be specific to the sports sector only and a maximum of 3 participants from any one organisation will be accepted on to each training course.
