Camogie Association seek Head of Commercial & Communications

The Camogie Association is seeking to appoint to a new post of Head of Commercial and Communications. Reporting to the Ard Stiúrthóir/Chief Executive, the post holder will act as a member of the Association’s senior management team.

The Head of Commercial and Communications will be the ‘brand guardian’ for Camogie in Ireland.

S/he must retain a big picture vision for the future of the game while managing the day-to-day responsibilities of the post. S/he has full responsibility for the design, delivery and evaluation of marketing, sales promotion and communication strategies for the Camogie Association to further grow and develop player participation and attendance at games.

S/he has responsibility for identifying, developing and maximising all sponsorship, partnership and other commercial opportunities that will help drive revenue.

The Head also has responsibility for actively planning, managing and monitoring the commercial, marketing and PR budget.

The post holder will lead and manage work that will generate positive public awareness of Camogie and the Camogie Association and its unique position in Irish sport. The Association has just published a new National Development Plan Our Sport Our Future 2016- 2019 and this post has a key role to achieve the targets of the Plan. The Plan is downloadable from

The post will be based in the Camogie Association’s national office in Dublin. The Head of Commercial and Communications will be required to work unsocial hours including weekends. From time to time travel will also be required. The successful applicant must have a clean driving licence; her/his own transport and will be required to comply with Garda/PSNI vetting clearance in advance of taking up the position.

Salary will be commensurate with responsibilities. Expenses such as travel, overnight accommodation where required and other allowable expenditure will also be paid.
