EVERY BODY ACTIVE TENNIS COACH

 Ulster Branch Tennis Ireland (UBTI) is the Governing Body for Tennis in Ulster. The organisation currently has 39 affiliated tennis clubs and 4,200 Club members.

Ulster Tennis and Belfast City Council have created the following Every Body Active Tennis Coach post through funding from Sport Northern Ireland.  Every Body Active 2020 is supported by Sport Northern Ireland.

The Every Body Active Coach will report to the UBTI Development Manager and will be based at the UBTI Office.  They will be responsible for developing and delivering the UBTI Every Body Active Tennis Programme at various venues across Belfast. The Every Body Active Tennis programme aims to increase tennis participation, with a particular focus on underrepresented groups, including women & girls, people with a disability and people living in areas of high social need.  The programme also aims to increase the number of people taking part in sustained tennis activities.  These objectives are aligned to the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) agreed by UBTI and Belfast City Council.

UBTI wish to appoint the following full-time Every Body Active Coach:

Ref UBTI/EA2020– One Full-time Tennis Post

Full-time: 37.5 hrs per week  (The Every Body Active post is a fixed-term contract to 31st March 2018, and extension subject to review.)

Salary: £17,891 per annum pro-rata

  • Closing date for receipt of signed, hard copy applications and monitoring forms is Monday 14th November 2016 at 12 noon. Emailed applications and CVs will not be accepted.
