Come along to find out: the real facts about physical activity from a world-renowned expert, how physical activity affects your health and well-being, and how you can be more active in your everyday life
Dr. William Bird is a world renowned expert in physical activity, serving on the Physical Activity Strategy board for Public Health England and serving as an advisor to the World Health Organisation and Public Health Wales. This year, over 150,000 people are expected to take part in ‘Beat the Street’, the company’s fun, free, walking and cycling community challenge.By bringing together local community groups, academic researchers and interested individuals, we hope to explore how similar initiatives can help to increase physical activity in Derry~Londonderry and the North West Region. 5:30 – 6:30 pm Lecture Theatre MD108 – Magee campus
