Coach, Jackie Protus and her team won a silver medal as they finished in second place at the European Under 21 Championship in Glasgow, behind eventual winners England.
Jackie made her her debut as National coach at the Lisburn Racquets Club moving up from the Assistant post and was delighted that her team maintained their ranking for the second successive year last week at the Bellahouston Sports Centre in Glasgow.
They played England in the opening match and then faced Scotland and Wales over the next two days.
Their next competitive matches are in England next month against the England Super League Team Loughborough.
The next major championship will be the World Youth Championships in August in the Cook Islands and preparations are going well after this latest boost to morale.
Five players on the squad, Lisa and Kyla Bowman, Neamh Woods captain Deborah McCarthy and Clare Henry also received a financial boost as they were awarded bursaries from the Mary Peters Trust in December.
