NORTHERN IRELAND SPORTS FORUM AGM

The Northern Ireland Sports Forum AGM will take place this year on Thursday 2nd December 2010 at 6.30pm in the House of Sport.

A senior Government Official will be our guest speaker for the evening and will look at Government’s commitment to ‘Sport Matters’ The 10 Year Strategy for Sport and Physical Recreation, followed by a Q&A session.

Ken Nixon, Chairman of the Northern Ireland Sports Forum commented,”Our key note speech, delivered by a top Government representative will focus on the ‘Sport Matters’ Strategy for Sport and Physical Recreation. This Strategy recognises the crucial importance of Governing Bodies, their clubs and volunteers for the delivery of this ambitious strategy. One of the Forum’s key aims is to ensure that the Governing Body voice is heard and we will work hard as a member of the Monitoring Group which brings together all key Government departments but also as representatives on the Sport NI led Implementation Groups to make sure this happens. We feel that this is the perfect time to discuss this Strategy and to focus on the future opportunities and the key role for sports Governing Bodies”.

Food and refreshments will be available from 6.30pm. We hope to see you all there.
