The RYA Northern Ireland seeks to appoint members to its Income Generation Committee

The RYA is the national body for dinghy, yacht and motor cruising, all forms of sail racing, RIBs and sports boats, windsurfing and personal watercraft and a leading representative for inland waterways cruising. The Royal Yachting Association Northern Ireland (RYA NI) acts for the RYA in Northern Ireland.

Background

The RYANI has recently grown as an organisation and increased its reach, with over 70 recognised and affiliated bodies, 1319 Personal Members and over 9500 Club Members across Northern Ireland.

Each year the organisation will run a number of events and support clubs, organisations and members in their development. In order to continue and expand this work, RYA NI is looking to increase potential sources of income in support of development.

Purpose

The Income Generation Committee shall deal with matters relating to the generation of income for RYANI in order to support its purpose of Promoting and Protecting Safe, Successful and Rewarding Boating in Northern Ireland.

The Chair of the Committee will also sit as a Director on the Board of RYANI. Application RYA NI is seeking to appoint up to 5 members to the Committee. It is expected that applicants should have an interest in and empathy with association and would wish to make a positive contribution to its administration at an exciting time for the sport in Northern Ireland.
