Ulster Rugby – Head of Commercial

Ulster Rugby is currently inviting applications for the post of Head of Commercial.

A high-performing professional rugby club, the Governing Body for a vibrant community game across the province, and a sustainable local business and employer, Ulster Rugby is looking to grow on-pitch success by maximising off-field income.

The Head of Commercial will be responsible for the creation and implementation of the strategy, structure, and processes which will drive all functions within the organisation that have an impact on revenue generation.

The individual will also lead, manage, and develop a multifaceted team, being responsible for the creation, implementation, and achievement of well-defined KPIs, which will track performance of both individuals and the team.

The role holder will build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, establishing and nurturing professional relationships with leaders from the private, public, and third sectors. Representing Ulster Rugby, the Head of Commercial will be the commercial face of the club on match days and at industry relevant events and conferences.

The successful individual will have significant experience in a senior commercial and marketing role with a demonstrable successful track record of creating, presenting, and negotiating detailed commercial proposals, along with driving key account management, ultimately establishing long-lasting, profitable partnerships, whilst also developing new, profitable revenue streams.

Experience of implementing and working with a robust CRM system, utilising data to support commercial and marketing strategic decisions, is also essential.

The role comes with a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

All applications should be submitted ahead of the closing date of Monday 10 July 2023 at 5pm.
