The role
The Chief Executive Officer reports to the Chairperson of HSI and will be responsible for leading and managing the organisation. The CEO will lead and deliver the strategic and operational plans and motivate teams to achieve the organisation’s objectives. The CEO must demonstrate exemplary internal and external leadership, act as an advocate and ambassador for the organisation and sector and have strong strategic capability with a proven ability to work in a complex stakeholder environment.
The person
The ideal candidate will have an interest and feeling for the Irish and international sport horse sector and a proven track record in leading management teams through periods of growth and change. He/she will possess evidence of interacting successfully with a diverse range of stakeholders, as well as experience of managing major capital investments and demonstrable commercial business acumen.
