The Female Sports Forum to host the first Women’s Sport Series event

The Female Sports Forum is thrilled to announce the launch of the Women’s Sport Series, designed to establish a Women’s Sports Network within Northern Ireland. This exciting event aims to bring together individuals and organizations committed to advancing the sports landscape in the region and creating a thriving community of women in sports.

Venue: A and L Goodbody Lounge, Kingspan Stadium

As a cornerstone of the Female Sports Forum’s four pillars, the Women’s Sport Series places a significant emphasis on leadership and role models within both the playing and professional aspects of sports excellence. This series is poised to shed light on various topics of interest while laying the foundation for a robust network within the sports community.

The event offers a platform for participants to:

– Network: Connect with fellow others from diverse sports backgrounds and roles within the sector, fostering meaningful connections that can drive positive change.

– Inspire: Gain profound insights from our esteemed elite athletes who epitomize the very essence of Northern Ireland’s sporting excellence. They will share their personal experiences, triumphs, and challenges in their respective disciplines.

– Collaborate: National Governing Bodies (NGBs) will spotlight their distinctive participation programs, which have demonstrated growth and impact on women and girls in sports. Programs to be highlighted include Women on Water, Young Ambassadors, and Shooting Stars.

“It is with great excitement that we launch the Women’s Sport Series,” said Natalie Niederman, Inclusive Participation Officer of the Female Sports Forum. “This is the first big event the Female Sports Forum has hosted since 2019. I am excited to start to create a supportive network for women in the sports community. By bringing together individuals and organizations invested in the advancement of women and girls in sports, we can collectively continue to push barriers for what exists in Northern Ireland for sporting opportunities.”
