The Golf Partners seek Independent Voluntary Chair of the Case Management Group

Golf Ireland

The PGA, Wales Golf, Golf Ireland and Scottish Golf form a Partnership for managing safeguarding concerns through their case management group (CMG) which comprises a panel of volunteers. The CMG provides advice and guidance in relation to safeguarding concerns and cases as is required to make fair, considered and proportionate decisions on the route a safeguarding concern may take.

We are seeking to engage a suitably experienced and qualified Independent Chair of the CMG to work in a voluntary capacity with Safeguarding leads across Golf’s National Governing Bodies, playing a significant role in offering advice, scrutiny and expertise to include: chairing meetings; facilitating partnership working; ensuring the effectiveness of the CMG; and providing direct safeguarding advice, support and recommendations in relation to the management of potential safeguarding concerns including adverse disclosures.

The Golf Partners CMG holds up to 6 case management meetings per year, which are mostly online with some meetings being face to face from The Belfry or other locations. Responses to correspondence are usually required within a short timeframe (ideally 24 hours).
It is anticipated up to 10 days per annum will be required with work being on a piecemeal basis.
Reasonable expenses will be reimbursed in line with policy.
