Welsh Sports Association Procurement Portal for Sport & Leisure open to Northern Ireland Sports Forum members

Welsh Sports Association Procurement Portal for Sport & Leisure open to Northern Ireland Sports Forum members

The Welsh Sports Association (WSA) Procurement Portal for Sport & Leisure is available to all Northern Ireland Sports Forum members.

The portal, powered by procurement specialists 2buy2, allows sporting clubs and organisations to make significant savings on a range of essential product categories.

Having worked with strategic partners Community Leisure UK (CLUK) the WSA established solutions to support the sector amid the financial challenges faced by the cost-of-living crisis – these have come in the form of the Procurement Portal.

The Procurement Portal offers great opportunities to benefit from economies of scale.  The portal provides self-service access to a range of approved supplier lists, framework agreements, quotes and pricing from pre-accredited suppliers. There is also access to a series of best practice procurement guides, templates, and procedures free of charge for Northern Ireland Sports Forum members.

There are opportunities available through 2buy2’s existing product categories, including electricity, gas, water, chemicals, telecoms, cleaning products, IT support, HR support, solar solutions, broadband and more, to make savings as well as generate revenue!

The Portal’s EV charging solutions, for example, offers organisations the chance to generate £1,000-£1,500 per charging point or parking space every year!

Additional demand-led services and products will continue to be added to the portal as and when required.

If your organisation or sports club is looking for energy-efficient and cost-effective solutions, then take advantage of the energy rates, solar solutions and EV offers available through the WSA Procurement Portal for Sport & Leisure.

WSA CEO Andrew Howard commented:

“We are delighted to extend the vital benefits of the WSA Procurement Portal for Sport & Leisure to members of the Northern Ireland Sports Forum.

“Working alongside other Sport Associations in the home nations who share our values is strategically important to us and through this collaboration, we add further value to the sector amidst testing financial times.

“The sector continues to feel repercussions of significantly increased energy costs and the impact that inflation has had on the goods and services that they purchase, so it is crucial that facilities, clubs and organisations across sport and leisure have the opportunities to find the most cost-effective solutions for essentials. This is what our Procurement Portal offers them.”

NISF Executive Manager, Richard Honeyford added:

“Following ongoing engagement with our colleagues at the WSA, we are excited to have the Procurement Portal extended to our Members.  With the collective power of sports, it offers the opportunity for organisations to get the best value for money and help reduce costs and impact on activity.  We are very grateful to the WSA in the development of the portal and the opportunity it offers our Members and the sector in NI”
